PhD Researcher on Surface Engineering

This Beam Path Simulator (BPS) will be validated in industrial environment. The candidate will coordinate and optimize the models previously developed by different ESRs during the first stage of the STEEP project. MRes/PhD in Ultra Precision Engineering at Cranfield University

The EPSRC Centre in Ultra Precision are recruiting postgraduate research scientists and engineers for its 4 year MRes/PhD in Ultra Precision Engineering at Cranfield University. We have fully funded studentships available with a tax free stipend of up to £20,000 per annum commencing October 2015. We welcome applicants from any field of science or engineering who have obtained a first or upper second class honours degree Full EPSRC funding with additional payments from industrial sponsors taking the tax free stipend up to a possible £20,000 per annum during the PhD phase Funding is available for UK students and EU students who have studied for three years full time in the UK Self-funded overseas/non-EU applicants are welcome to apply for the MRes/PhD programme but are not eligible for funding from the Centre for Doctoral Training in Ultra Precision.
