Through public transport: The campus is located 4 km from the Leuven train station. Buses leave from the train station to the campus every 10 minutes. Bus #3 (direction "Gasthuisberg Campus") stops right next to the building ‘Onderwijs en Navorsing 2 (O&N2)’. Make sure to remain seated until you reach the very last stop called ‘Leuven Gasthuisberg Campus’.
By plane Brussels International Airport is located 25 km west of Leuven. A direct rail connection links Leuven and the airport and takes only 15 minutes. A one-way ticket costs about €10.00. Brussels South Charleroi Airport is located about 70 km south of Leuven. The airport shuttle bus linking the Charleroi Airport and Brussel South (Bruxelles Midi in French, Brussel Zuid in Flemish) railway station takes approximately one hour. A one-way ticket costs about €17.00.
Leuven can be reached via the Brussels Ring and the E40 and E314 motorways.
From Leuven, it takes half an hour to reach Brussels South (Bruxelles Midi, Brussel Zuid) railway station. From there, you can catch high-speed rail connections to Paris, London, Amsterdam, and many other European destinations. The Leuven railway station is directly connected to the city centre via the Bondgenotenlaan (Allies Avenue), one of Leuven’s main streets. The walk from the station to the city centre is approximately 10 minutes.
